With its ecologically friendly engineering, its contribution to the local economy and the quality flour it produces, an artisanal mill has much to offer in many respects.
Despite the growth of industrial milling, artisanal flour is still in demand today for many reasons. Not only does it rely on renewable energy and traditional machinery, which can be maintained and repaired over time, but artisanal flour has much greater nutritional value than the commercial variety.
There is also a special “value added,” knowing that the flour was made by a devoted miller from local grain. Not to mention that the Moulin Michel is an agri-tourist attraction that makes a large contribution to the regional economy. It’s a wonderful heritage to share!
